Hi everyone,
I hope all is well inBlog land !! We went to a base fall party last night.. It was great they always have the best partys. We live on a Military base near Wahington D.C. . It is an ok place to live not the best area.. but were thankful we are safe on base !!! Anyway they had a hot dog roast drinks games for the kids...a haunted house, and let me tell you this was a scarry house!!My two oldest went in...not  I..oh no... Why?  I asked them why do you want to get scared? that is the worst feeling in the world ..being scared right? Well they just think I'm old...lol !!! I dont get into the scarry dark side of Halloween and I've always dressed them in  non scarry halloween suits..but they are getting older and I thought ok..why not.

From their description I'm glad I didnt go..there was this chain saw man at the back door. When you went to go out , all of a sudden when you think your free!  there is a chain saw cranking up next to you in the dark..and this man with the chainsaw kept coming out and if your standing there to scared to go in...(hello me!! lol)  he starts cahsing you down the road...  Wel it was a good time .We are going to go over by the pentagon to a base for another festival today..petting zoo,.carriage rides, moonbouncys, and such this one is put on by the U.S.O.. this U.S.O is awesome this is the same place I met Duff  off Ace Of Cakes a couple weeks ago..did ya'll see that post? It was my birthday and got a piece of his cake on my birthday...and I was in awe of him. I didnt know what to say but he and his staff were so down to earth..it was a great day..as I said before my battery went out in my camera ..I have one ordered.So soon I hope..I will be taking pics again..the trees are so pretty here. I hope you all have a blessed weekend..

I love fall. I decorate for all holidays..Valentines too. Even though thats not a holiday. I just love my home having little bits of holiday out and about for the kids. I have more pics however my battery to my camers went out so this is it for now. I normally put haystacks and cornstalks out and scarecrows I have had people stop and take their babies pictures on  them. Well this only my second link up so I hope I do it right.I also have to say fall is my baking time..I love cooking and baking in the fall.

Recipe swap, Strusel Pumkin Spice Muffins

I would like to say I have joined the recipe party over at Rhodas..www.southernhospitalityblog.com. These pumkin muffins are so good. They stay so moist and are so easy to make.

1-box spice cake mix
1-cup pumpkin
1/2 cup wate

preheat oven-350
mixall ingredients until well blended.make topping
scoop into muffin cups.

topping
1c.Brown sugar
1.c.flour
1.stick butter
mix brown sugar,flour
cut in butter spoon on top of muffins
 bake at 350 for 20-24 minutes.
I sure hope you all enjoy.

My camera is broken right now.I was really wanting to get pics up. I made pumpkin chocolate lollipops,and some other things for the kids ,put ribbons and bows on them!!!  and my camera broke!! I have made the best muffins y'all they are so easy...ready?

1-box spice cake mix
1-can pumpkin
1/2 cup water

preheat oven 350.
in a bowl mix all ingredients until blended
make topping

Topping
1-cup brown sugar
1 -stick of butter
1-cup flour
stir together flour,brown sugar,breaking up any lumps
cut in butter,spoon or sprinkle over muffins bake @350-
for 20 -24 min.

I wish I had a picture theese are so pretty and moist and easy..
I really hope you all try theese and let me know what you think...

Hi everyone...I hope ya'lls weather is better than ours. I know up the road a bit in P.A. they had snow..ouch!!! It has been raining about 4 days now and cold in the 40's...hello Florida..yes I miss Florida..It is hard for a Florida girl born and raised to get used to cold..it was to cold to me to even swim this year. My kids did and would ask Mom are you getting in...no!!! Wow what a blessing!! I took all of your advice and went to the revival..it was great. All the people seemed friendly .My 11 year old daughter loved the service. She talked about it all night long. I am so glad I went .I am gonna see about doing some more things with this blog so I hope you all have a wondeful day...

Well it's been a great day..I fixed my blog!!! I have gotten more comments today than ever!! I kinda felt alone here on blog land..after spending many hours I think it is fixed. Thank you to all who have taken a look and left comments. It has been a nice fall day today.I'm thinking of going to a revival tonight? It's at a church out in town..I'm really shy it's hard to go to new places..I dont have alot of confidence in myself..so theres always that voice telling me not to go...but then the other voice that says go...I'll let you know what I decide..

Apple baking!!!

I have been baking ..I dont know if we should have picked so many apples....we have had alot of apple desserts lately..And I also  made fried apples,and applesauce....

My baby 's birthday

Friday was my baby's 7Th birthday. We planned his party for Saturday. We don't know alot of people here so the party was small only about 4 boys and us. He seemed to have a great time. He is really into Army men..GI Joe and such ,so that was the plan. I made camouflage cupcakes .I just used a white cake mix and swirled black,Brown,and green coloring into the cake mix...with Army green icing...it was OK.. I think this is the smallest party I have ever had..I had a neighbor over that I just met a young mom with two young boys her husband is deployed now. I have another neighbor with 5 children who's husband is also deployed it is so heart warming to see these family on a voyage without Daddy...I remember those days..so anything to make them forget for awhile anyway. I hope everyone is having a great weekend..We have a long one hubby gets an extra day for Columbus day so no plans just being lazy enjoying our time together...

My Birthday

Yesterday was my Birthday..It was a wonderful day!!I woke up to a 4 layer triple chocolate cake.Bruce took the day off and got up at 4 A.M. to make it for me. I got flowers,CHOCOLATE!!,I got to go see Duff off ACE OF CAKES...and eat a wonderful piece of his cake,I got taken to the Gaylord hotel at the National Harbour in D.C...and out to dinner...it was an awesome day!!! Turning 40 was great I feel great...not older.One of my friends went to a fancy bakery and bought me a slice of the most wonderful Strawberry Shortcake,I am from the Strawberry capitol of the world ,,Plant City Florida!!!so all in all it was a great day!!!

Apple picking!!!

Hello all!!! I had a great weekend hope you all did also.We went Apple picking!!!
This is something I have always wanted to do..it was a nice crisp fall day..we had a blast..Being from Florida I have never gotten to experience this..The kids loved it.
We had Apple cider,Apple fritters,the kids went in a hay maze..scary barn..as I said it was great. Before that part of my weekend I had yard sale..you know that is alot of work getting those things ready and set up- tore down..etc--- but it is always nice to count the extra money at the end of the weekend..I have enjoyed visiting all the blogs and seeing the Fall decor!!! I love it. I hope you all have a great week!!!

Good morning..Banana bread recipe

I thought I would post a quick easy recipe..This is so
easy. It's for Banana bread.


1.Box yellow cake mix.
3-5 Bananas mashed
1/3 cup vegetable oil
. nuts optional
raisins optional..

I didn't add any extras just the bananas

mix thoroughly,put into loaf pans and bake @350 till done
yield 2 -loaves........enjoy..it is wonderful!!

I ALSO made a Cinnamon cream cheese frosting for it
I cut this recipe in half

2-sticks (1 cup) butter ,slightly softened
12 ounces cream cheese
6 cups powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
slowly beat the butter and cream cheese ,
slowly add the powdered sugar and mix till everything is combined.
add the vanilla and Cinnamon...
when the bread is cooled frost and enjoy!!!!!
